The City of Marquette 4th of July Parade starts at 2pm on the 4th! 

The Gridiron Club has entered a float and MSHS Football Teams/Players are invited and encouraged to help build the float and to walk along the parade route with it to show their Team Spirit! Prior Year MSHS Uniform Jersey's are being provided by Coach Mason for players to wear in the parade.

Line up time is  12:45pm--1:15pm at the latest, otherwise the roads may be barricaded. Line up is on a first come first serve basis. The Gridiron Club and accompanying Football Player Walkers have been assigned to the Yellow: N. McClellan L&M Fleet Staging Area.

Prizes for the best floats are based on: participation, youth involvement, decorations, costumes, music and crowd appeal. The prizes for Nonprofits are $500 for 1st, $300 for 2nd and $200 for 3rd. 

There will be Porta-Johns near the Incredible Bank. Please park away from the floats that will be forming up there. 

Walking members may pass out candy; but throwing candy from vehicles is not allowed for safety reasons. A violation of this rule will disqualify your group next year.  Bring water, it’s hot. 

The Parade ends near the MQT City Fire station at Third Street, so we will need to arrange pick-up and transportation of walkers back to parked cars from there.
